I am doing this to get better

I am doing this to get better. The words sound so hallow, so trite. No one can even promise success. It might be a disease whose only cure is a locked door and a security camera, so why am I even trying;  why spend the last weeks of my life watching my mind slowly atrophy? Seven simple words: I am doing this to get better.
